Taking Candy From Strangers

We're still recovering from a busy month! ...October, that is.  Camila refined her crawling skills and turned 10 months old. I refined my princess skills and took candy from strangers. Take a look at our month:

Some kids like to ride bikes. I like to ride saber-toothed tigers.

This is how a princess warms up. Why do I care about what princesses do? Read on...

Camila and I at the pumpkin patch. (We want to give a shout out to Mom & Dad for taking us out on the hottest day of the year)

The family, trying to look like it's just another crisp fall day.

I put on a smile for the camera, but I am actually wondering why Mom made me sit on these pokey sticks...that are sticking to my sweaty legs.

I can't lie, it was a beautiful day to be at the patch and sit on a giant, hot pumpkin.

Testing out my princess face.

My teachers thought my hair was ready for its first pony.

...One of these things is not like the others....

Sara wishes she could be me.
Thanks, Dad, for carving the coolest pumpkins on the block - Dora and Swiper!!!

....and here we go. I had been practicing all month long for this day!
Introducing Princess Belle & the Little Mermaid, Princess Ariel....
This is when I found out that I would have to accept candy from strangers in order to fill up this pumpkin.
Wait, what???!!
Check out my tail. Don't be jealous.

And this is my official princess pose!
...And right before we left to gather candy, Camila realized that she was too pooped to party.
(Little sisters, you can't take them anywhere)

Taking candy from strangers. Why is it okay on October 31st and not okay on any other day of the year? Don't get it. But I'll take it. Here I am taking candy from a stranger for the very 1st time.
Wait, this is it? All that work for candy that doesn't even taste that good?

.....stay tuned! Mom and Dad tell us that this next month of November there's this special day where you get to eat all you want, all day long.

New Tricks

Hi Everyone! It' Sara! Wondering what I've been up to? Well, I've been working hard on some new tricks that I'd like to share with you.

I have perfected my ability to bounce S...L...O...W....L....Y on a ball and to bounce quickly on a ball. No joke. Watch below:

Oh, and I'm also training to become a professional soccer player. This is what I look like after a long day of soccer practice.  Kicking around a ball is so easy...

Beach Day!

This weekend Mom and Dad took us to the beach. There was so much to see and do and taste! (Yes, I snuck a little shell in my mouth. Had to try it!)

Sara was giving me some tips about how big kids play in the sand. Tip #1: Don't eat the sand.
Tip #2: Throw sand all over your sibling.

Honestly, I wanted to touch it all- no fear here!  So I had to do what any smart 9 month old would do.....crawl! Immerse all my senses. Watch some of my first steps in this video:

What a Summer!

We apologize, friends and family, for such a long lapse since our last post. But we have a good excuse...and here is some evidence to prove it!

I thought it would be nice of me to help Mom and learn how to feed Camila myself.

We enjoyed spending time in the new playroom Mom made for us!

Going to the fair with Mom and Dad was so much fun because....

...this year I was old enough to ride Peppa the Pig on the carousel!

Here I am at 7 months enjoying some blueberries! Yum!

We began taking baths together! We like to have splash contests and Sara sometimes "accidentally" spills large amounts of water on my head.

Practicing my crawl stroke and wearing Abuela's goggles

In July, Mateo and Tia Montse came to visit us all the way from Philadelpia. We celebrated by going to Disenyland!!

I met Mickey. I was not scared at all. 100% excited to jump in his arms.

I also met one of my favorite characters...Mater!!!

Tia Montse bought us this awesome castle. Rule #1 Dogs not allowed in the castle.

Guess who turned 8 months old on August 15th?!!

Practicing Beethoven's 9th with Avi

Rule #2 Little sisters allowed in the castle for only 5 minutes

My first time at the beach. I could have used a little more sugar in my sand. It was too salty for me.

My first teeth cleaning. Dr. Sun said my teeth looked great!

I figured out a better way to use this paintbrush.

Getting ready for our first swim class together.

My car wasn't following directions so I put him on time out.

 ....And that does it!

Happy 4th of July!

Whew! What a day! We were in a parade, we went to a party in the park, we went swimming, we went on a walk, and we went to the beach!

Thank you, America, for being born. Because of you we get to eat junk food, skip naps and have tons of fun!

Here I am singing a little tune I know, "God Bless America" (p.s. big thanks to my Great Grandma Charlotte for my festive outift)

No disrepect, America, but I was hungry.

            Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Summer is Here!

The heat of summer has arrived and Mom took me to the beach with one of my best buds, Remy.

Two years ago, Remy and I enjoyed going to the beach together but always kept strict boundaries between us.

Now, older and more mature, we understand the importance of cooperation. Check out our luxurious beachside pool!

Wondering why we're wearing floaties in our shallow pool?

....Just in case we needed to do this:

(Don't worry, adults were nearby when this photo was taken)

Happy Father's Day!

Today is the day we celebrate the most important man in our life...our Dad! He is so special to us and we love him so much.

So we decided to give him some special gifts. Camila knew it was time to give Dad some hugs and cuddles since he's been giving a lot of those to her lately. Here they are cuddling on the couch at our great grandma's house.

And I had heard some rumors that my Dad really really likes to play golf. So I took him out for a day on the links.

First, I had to help him brush up on his putting skills.  Can you believe that he didn't know how to hold a golf club?

Then, I showed him how you can make a hole-in-one every time.
It's a fairly simple technique. But it's top secret and I will only be able to tell you if we ever play golf together.
