My Tongue Is Free at Last!

This morning, when I woke up, my mom told me I was going to have a busy day at the doctor's office. I figured I could handle another weigh-in and a quick check of my heartbeat. No problem!

Boy was I wrong!! Next thing I know, I am rudely awakened from a nap, being held down by my arms and legs, and I am staring into the face of this doctor with funny glasses (nothing like my dad's). He pushes my tongue back ( which really infuriates me) then comes at me with scissors. Yup, you read that right- SCISSORS!!! He was cutting my frenulum.

Oh yeah. Frenulum. You know, that tendon that connects your mouth to your tongue.  Well, mine was a little too connected to my tongue.  It was making feeding time a little difficult and could cause me to have trouble talking properly when I'm older.

STILL! Can you believe my parents told him to do this to me?? I was so angry.

Here is a picture of me before:  Dreaming about my next relaxing nap time.

Then they woke me up & here he is snipping away at me... SCISSORS!
This is me after.  You would be crying too.  Trust me!

....And if you think it couldn't get worse than this, then my parents drove me straight to another doctor's appointment where a lady stuck a giant needle in my leg. My first set of SHOTS!!

(refer to the last picture if you'd like to see my reaction to the shots)

  1. oh baby!!! That picture breaks my heart, I almost shed a tear thinking about little Sara going through that pain. I'm glad she's ok now...that must have been very painful. She's such a doll.
