Happy Halloween!

Another Halloween has come and gone. Another year of successful tricks and treats. (Okay, mostly treats and a few tricks.)   And boy, were we busy this year...a Halloween parade at school, a Halloween party at ballet class and trick or treating at night...we did it all!   However, this year, Camila had a lot of learning to do: she had to learn how to say "Trick or Treat" and she had to learn how to say that while holding out her bag and accepting candy. I, of course, asked her to watch me first and, after a few houses, she jumped right in and was demanding candy from everyone. I have to admit, she was a little pushy at times, but people got over that real quick when they saw how cute she looked.

Without further ado...I present to you Shirley Temple and SeƱorita Sara, the Flamenco Dancer!

Hope your Halloween was as fun as ours! xoxo, Shirley & Sara

Our Summer in Review

Now that summer is coming to a close, we'd like to share with you some of the good times we had these past few months.

In June, we stole a golf cart....just kidding!

Actually, it was Father's Day and Grandpa Mark and Dad took us golfing!

One of our favorite things to do on the weekends is ride our bikes to the park with Grandpa Mark, Dad and Mom. And this summer, we made a lot of trips to the park on my new ride.....
Jumping for joy when I saw my bike for the first time! Thanks, Grandpa Mark, for this great present!!
And off we go!

And what about Camila? Well, she gets to ride on my old bike seat.

We also started swim lessons this summer. Can you tell who hated them?
On my off time, I figured out ways to fix my broken toys...
....and I honed my jigsaw puzzle skills.

July was a month we'll never forget. Mom and Dad were very brave and they took us to SPAIN to meet Mom's relatives!

Here we are in the airplane right before take off!  (We'll spare you the picture of us when we landed in Barcelona.)

We stayed at a beach house for our first week in Spain. Dad and I practiced our synchronized swimming routine daily.

Here I am with my cousin, Elna. I bought her a Rapunzel dress! (Not going to lie, I kind of wanted to keep it for myself. Hint hint, Santa! p.s. I've been nice all year)
Oh, and we forgot to mention that Tia Montse and our cousin Mateo also flew in from Philadelphia to spend the summer vacation with us. Here we are (along with our cousin, Eneko) jumping into the pool together.

I was just a tiny bit excited to see my first REAL castle!!! I couldn't figure out which princess-Rapunzel or Elsa or Ariel- lived there.

Mom and Dad kept trying to take family photos. Camila really wasn't interested.

Can you tell what I'm up to? Yup, I'm on a ropes course. It took a lot of concentration and courage. And, as you can see, I was able to walk through this net and onto a platform... to a zip line, where I flew like Peter Pan to the next set of obstacles. So fun!!
On our last day in Spain, we went with Avi and Abuela to get one last sip of our favorite Spanish summertime drink, horchata. It's made with a groundnut and tastes nothing like the Mexican variety we get in the states. Mmmmmm....

Once we returned home, I got back to work on learning how to ride a bicycle. Those training wheels are almost ready to come off!!

Meanwhile, Camila continued to practice her hula hooping skills.

We also enjoyed lots of long walks with Mom and Penny.

Another highlight of this summer, happened just recently (August 22, to be exact) when we all got on another airplane and flew to Seattle so we could attend the wedding of Uncle Matthew and Meghan!!
Dad was Matthew's Best Man and we were asked to be the flower girls.
Here we are getting ready, right before the ceremony!

Don't Matthew and Meghan look great?!!

Okay, so we have to admit, that we became a little nervous once we saw all the guests arrive. The wedding coordinator and Mom gave us a pep talk before we walked down the aisle...and we did such a fantastic job that when we finished walking, Mom was waiting for us with some special treats!

Oh, we were supposed to throw these on the ground as we walked up the aisle? Oops!

This was definitely a summer we'll never forget. Sending you hugs!                                              xoxo, Sara & Camila

Adventures in the Month of May

The month of May was filled with outdoor adventures, art, and our usual silliness.  We even got a special visit from our new cousin, Maggie!! Check out our pictures below, and I think you'll agree that we had a pretty awesome month.

Bike ride!

Reading The Lorax with Dad

This is how Camila paints.

This is how I paint.

Camila likes what she sees

Introducing....Princess Anna & Belle

I think these look better on me, Dad.

Save paper, draw on yourself.

Hooray! I climbed on this scooter all by myself.
(Mom and Dad were not excited)

Hanging out in the castle with our cousin, Maggie!

Bunnies and Bedtimes and .....

Better late than never, right?! Here's what we were up to in April:
Getting ready for Easter...

Easter egg hunt right after my ballet class

I found a lot of eggs! I'm getting good at this funny Easter tradition!

Guess who was a first-time flower girl?!!!
                                                     I'm a natural, right?!

Family Picture
(Camila didn't want to attend)

This month, Mom and Dad bought Penny a new bed/couch.  We love it! Here we are pretending it's nap time. For some odd reason, Penny looks concerned and sad in these photos. We invited her to play with us...

My apologies for not posting any photos of us in our Easter outfits. It's just that I
got very sick that day and our photographer was not on site to document the day. So
I'll leave you with my newest hair-do of the month!
